That number does very little for you in the planning stage, when you are comparing venues on a laptop. It does a lot at the end of the night, once the last song has played, the photographer has packed up, and somebody’s parents are hunting for keys. Five minutes is short enough that a forgotten garment bag is a round trip instead of a crisis, and short enough that the people who flew in for you are in bed before they stop being pleasant about it.
It changes the front of the day too. Nobody is watching a clock all afternoon. The group swims, eats, gets dressed on its own pace, and leaves in one wave.
The math on a 300-guest venue
The Views holds a maximum of 300 guests across roughly 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, with Tuscan styling, a viewing balcony, and several ceremony sites to choose between. All-inclusive packages there are commonly quoted starting at 100 guests. Terms change, so confirm the current ones with the venue rather than with us.
Now the honest part. If your list runs anywhere near 300, La Serena does not house your wedding. It houses your wedding party.
We sleep 16 plus in five bedrooms: a king in four of them, a queen in the fifth, and sleeper sofas in the theater room and the game room. That covers the two of you, the people standing beside you, and immediate family. Everybody else needs a separate plan, and they need it early, because there is no hotel block near these venues.
What we would do in your position is decide who sleeps at the house first and tell those people the day you lock the date. Everyone else gets a written list of East Valley options with a deadline attached. Guests will wait until the last minute if you let them.
Out-of-town guests can fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, which is about 28 to 31 miles from Apache Junction, roughly 35 to 40 minutes of driving without traffic. Phoenix-Mesa Gateway also serves the area and sits closer to the East Valley. Either way, anyone not sleeping at the house needs a rental car or a ride plan.

The day before and the morning of
Ask The Views what getting-ready space comes with your package, then plan the rest here. Five bedrooms means the wedding party is not sharing one mirror. Blackout curtains mean the people who took a red-eye actually sleep. Smart TVs in five rooms means the college friends can watch a game while the hair and makeup rotation runs somewhere quieter.
The kitchen seats 12 at the table and 9 more at the island, which is enough for a rehearsal breakfast without anyone eating standing up. There is a gas BBQ and an outdoor kitchen, outdoor dining for 24, a pergola, and a coffee bar with pour-over and starter K-cups for the early risers. Full laundry on site, which matters more than people expect after a welcome party and a rehearsal dinner.
The rest of the acre is where the day before goes: heated pool at no extra charge, a 10-person hot tub facing the mountains, a pickleball court, a putting green, a fire pit, and cornhole, bocce, Connect 4 and Jenga. Inside there is a theater room and a game room with a Golden Tee arcade and a pool table. Fast wifi throughout for the people who cannot fully leave work behind.

Parking, shuttles, and the 10 PM line
We have room on site for up to 15 cars, which covers a wedding party and then some. No shuttles, trailers or RVs on the property, so if you hire a shuttle for the guest list, stage it at the venue and not in our driveway. Worth telling your coordinator early, since shuttle routing is easy to leave until late and awkward to fix once it is.
Quiet hours run 10 PM to 7 AM. Holding that line is what lets us keep taking bookings from groups this size. Plan the late night at the venue or somewhere with a liquor license, and let the house be the part of the weekend where everybody sleeps.
The limitation, stated plainly
La Serena is not a venue. We do not host ceremonies or receptions, and we do not permit unauthorized parties or events on the property. If your plan involves the whole guest list in the backyard, we are the wrong house and we would rather tell you now than after a deposit. What we do well is the other half of the weekend: the getting ready, the eating, the swimming, the sleeping, and a five minute drive to the aisle.
