This is the part that catches people. A permit buys you a place to stand in front of the Superstitions. It does not buy you a building.
- Ask the park where, if anywhere, the party can get ready on site, and plan on hair and makeup happening somewhere else.

- Ask the park what your options are if the weather turns on the day, and get the answer before you set a start time.
- An end time you need in writing. Ask the park what time your permit ends and what has to be off the site by then, then plan the day backward from that answer.
- Nowhere for your guests to gather before and after. A ceremony site is a ceremony site.
None of that is a reason to skip the park. It is a reason to have a house.
Why the house is the piece that finishes it
La Serena sits on an acre in Apache Junction at the foot of the Superstition Mountains, five bedrooms, sleeping 16 or more. King beds in four bedrooms, a queen in the fifth, sleeper sofas in the theater room and the game room, blackout curtains. Outside is where the day decompresses after the ceremony. Heated pool at no extra charge, a 10-person hot tub with mountain views, pickleball court, putting green, fire pit, an outdoor lounge with a 75 inch TV, outdoor dining for 24, gas BBQ and outdoor kitchen. Parking on site for up to 15 cars, which matters when your party drives in from Phoenix Sky Harbor, about 28 to 31 miles away, roughly 35 to 40 minutes without traffic.

The honest limits
La Serena is a house, not a venue. We do not host ceremonies or receptions here, ever. Quiet hours run 10 PM to 7 AM, and no unauthorized parties or events happen at the house. If you want a reception and a dance floor, you need a venue for that part and us for the sleeping and the getting ready.
Second limit worth knowing early: shuttles, trailers and RVs cannot come onto the property. If you are planning a shuttle to move guests to the ceremony, it stages somewhere else, and your transport company needs to hear that during the quote, not on the morning of.
If the park does not fit your list
There are larger options within a few minutes. Desert View Weddings & Events is next door to us, capacity 225, with a 6,500 sq ft event center and a 3,000 sq ft chapel, both climate controlled, packages roughly $7,500 to $11,500 as of September 2026.
